Coming from a musical background with both a mother and a father that used to sing, it is no surprise that this talented singer can bring the house down!
Tonya’s style has created a hypnotic sound that infuses both Neo-Soul and House music defining a sound that is unmistakably her own. Her current single “Fallin’” has generated an overwhelming buzz centered in the United Kingdom and other areas of Europe, and has been featured on numerous top ten lists, as well as syndicated radio, broadcast radio, podcasts, and of course maintains high rotation in the UK club circuit.
Recently, Tonya Renee performed in a packed venue in the LA club circuit in
her own showcase promoting the already popular “Fallin’” hit
as well as her upcoming single “Off My Mind”.
Currently, you can hear Tonya’s War Child Canada single, “Turn it
Up”, on CHR stations across Toronto and Quebec, performed with label mate
Joe Louis. The single was created to raise awareness of war affected children
across the world through War Child Canada. Tonya Renée comments, “I
wrote this song and made specific references to the lifestyle that these children
have to endure so that I could get the ‘real’ message across to
as many people as possible.”
Having earned her start as a background vocalist for Jully Black, Tonya Renée has branched off to record her own solo album entitled “My House”, which will make its debut in stores Fall 2006. The album will feature a collaboration of producers from her parent label, CampSoul Music, as well as renowned house and funk producers under Home Soul Records.
Bringing with her sensual and emotional experiences beyond her years, Tonya
Renée will pursue a solo musical compilation that will exceed the boundaries
of traditional Soul music and invade the hearts of music lovers across the globe.
