History

Allante Bed & Breakfast, previously located on York Street in the ByWard Market, relocated to larger premises at 539 Besserer Street in December 2003. We want to thank our guests from all over the world for allowing us to host their visits to Ottawa and enriching our lives in so many ways. We look forward to your next visit and welcoming you to our new location which offers the Best of all Worlds - the rich warm ambiance of a turn-of-the-century home combined with a modern elegant décor, ideally situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood within walking distance of vibrant downtown Ottawa.

Amenities

Warm and friendly hospitality - guests are welcomed as friends and encouraged to consider Allante Bed & Breakfast "a special place to call home".
Parliament Hill, National Arts Centre, National Gallery, Congress Centre, Rideau Canal, ByWard Market, Ottawa University, various Museums, restaurants, boutiques, and Rideau Shopping Centre are within a 15 - 25 minute walk.
For non-walkers, 5 bus routes serve our location providing quick and easy access to the downtown area.
Special attention has been given to providing an allergy-free environment. High-density foam mattresses, down-filled duvets, comforters and pillows are hypo-allergenic. Premises are smoke-free and pet-free with central air conditioning to enhance your comfort and enjoyment. All guest rooms include cable TV/VCR, radio/alarm clocks and computer hookup/telephone jacks.

Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, curling iron available or anything else you may have forgotten.
Refrigerator and freezer stocked with ice cubes for guest use. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate always available.
Fax machine & photocopier available.

Breakfast

A gourmet breakfast is served at a mutually convenient time between 7:30 am and 9:30 am. A typical breakfast will include each of the following groups:

Coffee (regular or decaffeinated), tea (regular, herbal, caffeine free or green) plus juice
Fresh baked croissants, muffins, various breads, biscuits, rolls
Fresh fruit starters served in a variety of delectable ways
French toast, Pancakes, Waffles, Crepes with assorted toppings, Omelettes, Eggs Benedict, Stratas, or Quiches
Sausages, back bacon, side bacon, or ham.

WE CAN ACCOMMODATE VEGETARIAN, VEGAN OR GLUTEN-FREE DIETS WITH ADVANCE NOTICE.
Parking

Free overnight and weekend street parking.
Monday to Friday daytime- $3.00 for up to 12 hours at a nearby lot.
