John
Beuhler, born Slidey McPumpernickel Balls, was born 1978 to a goat farmer and
a goat farmer groupie. On the day of his birth he was promptly sold to a comedy
club in India for show tickets and a bottle of silver polish.
From living in the coatroom of an Indian comedy club until the age of 24, John
learned quickly the skills of the stand-up and also some light snake charming.
Later on in life, after being thrown out of the Wu-Tang Clan for being too "moody",
John tried to support himself by selling decorative pot holders and jewelery
made from obsolete orthodontic retainers. That must have been a fun afternoon.
Does he ever see anything through?
He decided that he would use the remedial joke telling skills he learned in
India to entertain tragic drunks and single mothers in dive bars across the
world. His act is so funny it would make Yakov Smirnov want to kill both of
his parents. John's awesome joke writing ability along with his ability to start
fires with his mind makes his show one not to be missed. Get to know the “Beuhler

Now living in Los Angeles, Alex Nussbaum used to make his living in Toronto
by designing characters and locations for such animated television programs
as Bob & Margaret, Franklin the Turtle, and The Magic School Bus. Drawing
by day and joking by night. Much like a superhero, if you will. Please do.
Deciding
that it was time for a change, he resolved to make an honest woman of stand-up
and elevated his part-time commitment to full-time status. Soon after, Alex
rose to the top of the Canadian comedy scene, confirmed by his Canadian Comedy
Award nomination for Best Male Stand up as well as being chosen #1 Comedy Show
of 2006 by Now Magazine, Toronto’s chronicler of the comedy scene.
As
a stand up comic, his uniquely silly yet clever style has a universal appeal
which prompted Now Magazine to ask, “Why isn’t Alex Nussbaum a star?”
Alex's mother and landlord are both inclined to agree.
