Deciding that a career in medicine was not for him, Stewart began performing comedy after completing his microbiology degree from McGill University. Upon arriving in Toronto, Stewart’s sharp with and clean, intelligent brand of humour quickly earned him numerous TV spots, eight appearances on Telemedia’s national radio program “Live From Yuk Yuks” and an appearance at the Toronto Comedy Festival. He has since toured extensively throughout Canada, opening for the likes of Norm MacDonald, Emo Phillips and Ray Romano as well as appearing on the nationally syndicated show, "Comedy at Club 54" and on the XM Satellite Radio network’s “Laugh Attack”.

Described as “biting yet not offensive…” as well as having “smart, hip material”, Stewart turns today's palpable discomfort towards race and religion into clever, hard-hitting comedy. All this while still tackling the far more serious issues of marriage, children, mothers and aging with the same irreverent zeal.
