In addition to his successful and well received live performances all over North America, Mike MacDonald has appeared in such TV shows as The Late Show with David Letterman and the Arsenio Hall Show. As the son of a career Canadian Air Force officer, MacDonald learned at an early age that humour would make him popular.





Yuk Yuk’s Ottawa and JH5 Promotions are proud to announce. the “Steam Whistle Summer Comedy Competition”. This competition will have categories for professionals and amateurs. Professionals are comics that have been paid to perform at Yuk Yuk’s on the weekend. Amateurs are everyone else, and it may include you! If you have ever thought you were funny, now is the time to give it a try!

To enter you must be available for at least one Wednesday in July, and if y o o you aadvance to semi-finals or finals, you must be available in August. The participants will be chosen through random lottery, drawn live at 8:00 p.m. on June 22 at Yuk Yuk’s Elgin location.

Jason rips into popular music, dating and just about anything else using bizarre sound effects, animated gestures and audience participation.


A veteran of years of touring throughout Canada and the United States, Jason has appeared on national television numerous times on shows such as: "Comedy at Club 54" and "The Fruitopia Comedy Festival". Another highlight was representing Ottawa at the Homegrown Comedy Competition of the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal .
