Since entering the Yuk Yuks Search for Canada's Funniest New Comic early on in her career, Laverty has traveled from Vancouver to St. John's. In 2001 she toured Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, South Africa. She is a favourite with clubs, community fundraisers and Military posts. In October of 2006 she performed at a NATO base in Germany and hopes one day to travel the world performing for all of the military personnel. Laverty's big dream in life was to become a sex therapist, but since that involved going back to school she decided that hosting "The Everything To Do With Sex Show" in 2004 was credit enough.

Shannon's TV and Radio credits include Listed (Much More Music), Club 54 , "Fruitopia Comedy Funfest" at Paramount Canada's Wonderland (broadcast on CKVR-TV), The Movie Network's Pay-Per-View comedy Special "Mondo Taboo 2", She's So Funny and Funny Girls on the Woman's Television Network, Comics (On CBC-appeared in 2 B roles) and Yuk Yuk's-The Radio Show, on the Telemedia Network. Shannon has also made numerous appearances at the Molson Canadian Toronto Comedy Festival. She has also been nominated 4 times for the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Laverty's on stage persona is proud to be provocative. Her Mae West come-hither attitude will draw you in and her flirtatious delivery has been embraced by both sexes.

Casey Corbin ’s friendly down home approach has made him a crowd pleaser over the last few years. He began performing in Ottawa, but now makes his home in front of audiences all across Canada.
Since beginning in Ottawa, Casey Corbin has played every major comedy club, performed many one night venues and has played numerous theatres and universities.

In 2007 Casey brought his brand of comedy to the CBC Halifax Comedy Festival. His opening night gala set rocked the room and was used the next day on CBC radio to promote the fest. His taping from this festival will air on the CBC in 2008. But that wasn’t it for Casey in 2007. He also taped a CTV/ Comedy Network special called Comedy Now. At the taping he received a standing ovation, the first standing ovation in the history of the 11 year old show!

If you haven’t seen Casey on stage, you might have seen him in a commercial or two. He also appears on the Comedy Network on Comedy at Club 54 and could have been seen insulting celebrities on Much Music’s Stars Gone Wild. Not only that, you can also here him on XM satellite radio on the Laugh Attack.

Appearing all month at the Prescott - Tickets 25$ - Glen Foster is quickly becoming a household name among comedy fans. Or, perhaps more correctly, a household “non-name”, since adopting the moniker “That Canadian Guy” (a joke based on the idea that audiences often can’t remember the names of comedians they see on television).

A veteran of the Canadian comedy scene, Glen has been a popular headliner for over twenty five years. His Gemini nominated comedy special “That Canadian Guy” struck a chord for its hilarious, but dead on portrayal of the conflicted Canadian psyche. After it aired, he received a flood of congratulatory e-mail, much of it along the lines of: “I couldn’t remember your name, but I remembered ‘That Canadian Guy’.”

Glen’s comedy appeals to those people who appreciate a more intelligent and slightly “edgy” brand of humour. His material is mostly clean and always clever, topical and timely, reflecting his own experiences as well as current events and popular culture. He’s also not afraid to inject his own political and often “politically incorrect” opinions and social commentary. It’s all in good fun though, and his intention is never to shock or offend.
