Both co-founder and premier artist to launch off of the CampSoul Music label, Joe Louis is set to reach the masses with a creative Hip Hop style that is sure to get heads banging and clubs jumping.
Starting out his career as a talented R&B singer with former group, Selfish, in New York, Joe Louis has established himself as a complete entertainment package who is destined for more than just the microphone. Though is focus is on rapping, don’t be too surprised if you hear Joe Louis serenade the crowd with his vocal abilities; find him on the big screen, or catch him hyping up the crowds with the latest dance moves.
Joe has graced the stages of Toronto night clubs, Universities in Ontario, and most recently, Joe Louis rocked the Importfest 2006 crowd at the Rogers Centre.
The Hip Hop style of Joe Louis is recognized to be hard, real, sexual, and can relate to the mainstream and underground reaching out to hustlers, women and Hip Hop heads of the world. People compare his style to artists such as Ludacris with his wittiness and sexual innuendo, but also keeps his fans attention with his lyrical content.
His current single “Get it Right” is set attracting a lot of attention in the clubs of New York and building anticipation for the release of Joe Louis’ debut album. In addition to “Get it Righ”, Joe Louis has also collaborated with label mate, Tonya Renee to release “Turn it Up”, which was created to raise awareness and funds for war affected children through War Child Canada. The single is currently airing on CHR stations in Toronto and Quebec, and is also featured in the War Child Canada PSA’s airing on MuchMusic.
Joe Louis was named after the famous boxer, Joe Louis from the 1930’s. The boxer emerged victorious from his first 27 fights. The early years of the boxer’s career were formed on the basis of hard work and determination and he lived a lifestyle void of glamour and fame.
The rapper Joe Louis plans to build his empire much in the same way as the
boxer. By working hard, he plans to achieve his dreams and realize his fullest
potential.
